A milder week saw the fish really switch on the feed with a rod average of 6.75 despite much of the week suffering from strong winds. There are a few fish rising in the day but many of the best bags have come fishing 3 – 6 foot down. Most of the lake is holding fish. Lures are doing best in the morning but buzzers are working well midday onwards.
If the wind drops in the evening there has been a small evening rise to adult buzzers.
Spooned fish have been eating hog louse, small black buzzers and immature damsels.
Bank fishing still has the edge on boats with plenty of fish being taken within 10 yards of the shore.
Sunday 28th Airflo World Bank Masters
Elinor is closed for bank fishing apart from qualifying anglers. Boats are available as normal.
We still require a few more marshalls for this match. Fishing is 9am until 4.30pm.
Lunch and a tackle goody bag is provided. Please email me if you are willing to help out.
