Elinor is back on form!
A fantastic week for bank anglers with the water clearing enough to put the fish in a feeding frenzy with a 5.6 rod average.
I don’t think I can remember a week with so many big fish caught. Photos will be on the website very soon.
It’s especially pleasing to see so many resident browns being caught as none have been stocked this season.
Buzzers and crunchers are taking many of the big bags of fish although dark coloured lures are still working.
On cooler days the fish are being caught around 4 feet down but on milder days seem to move up to a depth of 2 foot.
Five anglers from Notts Police had a bank outing on Wednesday and caught 47 fish.
Although boat fishing is slower 11 members of Manor Farm Fly Fishers had a boat match on Sunday and caught 34 fish with some cracking grown on fish at the weigh in.

2. Hiroshi 6 fish 14lb 3oz
