Another slow week with a rod average just scraping 2. However there are definitely signs of much better fishing since Saturday. The cooler weather, especially at night has seen the weed beds start to break up and the water temperature drop. Fish are feeding throughout the day and are less tightly shoaled.
Not many specimens were taken last week but numerous fish between 2lb 8oz and 3lb 8oz were caught and they are in fighting fit!
Usually we have to wait until mid September for the fishing to improve but Elinor is certainly worth a trip already.
Nearly all fish are being taken in the top 3 foot with washing line with a foam daddy on the point and crunchers/diawl bach on droppers the best method.
