An excellent rod average for the week with some good bags caught by bank anglers from the brookside or dam.
Despite all the rain the water remains clear. On calmer days there are still fish rising. Spooned fish have been feeding on snails, corixa and small buzzers.
The first weekend of pike fishing saw 3 boats go out on Saturday. It was too windy to allow boats out on Sunday.
Derek Cross from Welwyn Garden City had a superb day catching fish of 16, 18, 19 and 23lb.
There was also another 20lb+ fish caught.

Elinor is open for boat and bank fishing until December 31st and the 2016 season will start on February 13th.
Season ticket holders only can bank fish during January.
