damsel nymph, black or olive shipmans, red cruncher, black buzzer, cats whisker, tequila fab.
The fishing was very difficult last week in the hot conditions but sport has improved over the last couple of days now it is cooler.
Very few bank anglers fished. The boats that went out did best by fishing over the deeper water down the middle using straight line buzzers or washing line with a fab on the point.
Damsels and cats whiskers on a Di3 type line also scored.
Prospects are much better now the heatwave seems to have finished although anglers should remember that July and August are the worst months.
