        Elinor Fishery November 6th 2016

        October 31st – November 6th

        140 anglers caught 369 fish of which 270 were returned.

        Best Fish
        9lb 4oz Ryan Slater, Rushden, cats whisker, boat

        Best Areas
        Bank – brookside, boat bay, dam, goodfellow bay, gravel bar
        Boat – Most areas holding fish

        Best Patterns
        small damsel, white/green or black/green lures, red cruncher, red diawl bach, tequila/sunburst blob.

        Bank and boat fishing equally well with fish being caught from many areas of the lake.
        Washing line with floater or midge tip working along with intermediate line and mini lures.
        On calmer days there are fish rising with a few fish taking small red dries.

        Next Stocking
        November 10th

        On Saturday November 5th Invicta Fly Fishers held their Fur & Feather bank competition. A strong NW wind made the prolific brookside uncomfortable to fish but anglers found plenty of fish on the sheltered lodge bank.

        There will be a limited number of 6 boats available each day at Elinor for pike fishing on the following weekends:
        November 19 & 20
        December 3 & 4
        Lures or sea dead baits only.
        Payment will be required in advance.
        Single angler boat £25.00
        Two angler boat £40.00
        Fishng is 7.30am – 5.00pm

        This Sunday November 13th is the date for The Dave Hughes Memorial Fur & Feather.
        9am – 3pm
        £25 entry which includes fishing fees (£5 for season ticket holders)
        Boat or bank fishing available.
        Proceeds from the raffle will as usual be split between Air Ambulance and British Heart Foundation
