After a bad previous four weeks there has been a big improvement in the fishing since Thursday 20th. The algae is clearing quickly and the cooler water temperature has really got the fish feeding.
The recent rain has got lots of daddies hatching and along with corixa and dapnia are the major food sources at the moment.
Mal Wright from Leicester took 13 quality fish on an intermediate and white minkie booby over the deep hole.
Marcus Ainsworth from Market Harborough used his float tube to take 12 fish on white or orange lures.
Roley Stanford from Finedon has a cracking 6 fish limit weighing 19lb 4oz anchored off the dam.
There are numerous 3 to 4lb fish being caught. The bigger fish that have been inactive during the summer should start showing now.
