It is noticeable that fish are being caught from more areas of the lake. It was the first week of the season when imitative patterns scored better than early season lures. Despite the poor weather the fish are being caught on buzzers, mainly black. When conditions allow the fish are also higher in the water.
On the few days that boats were allowed out some double figure bags were caught straightlining a team of size 12 black buzzers and diawl bachs.
On Monday 30th an Osprey put in a first appearance of the year and managed its one fish limit after only one attempt.
