black or olive buzzer, red or green diawl bach, black or brown hopper, orange blobA good week for specimen fish for bank anglers and big bags for boat anglers.
The hot weather meant the bank fishing got harder but there were still plenty of fish taken early and late in the day.
Boat anglers have enjoyed some great buzzer fishing. Top pattern has been a s10 or s12 black buzzer with red cheeks. Best depth has been anything between 2 – 6ft depending on wind and light conditions. Sun and wind together has sent the fish deeper.
On calmer days the rising fish have been taking emerging black or green buzzers, pond olives and alders.
Most evenings there is a rise. Dry fly sport has been productive in the last hour with small hoppers and cdc.Sunday May 8th Tommy Wood Memorial
A friendly roving bank match. Floating line and buzzer imitations only. Free entry!

black or olive buzzer, bloodworm, diawl bach, grhe, small damsel, orange blobA great week for buzzer fishing especially when the weather warmed up at the end of the week. Pond olives also put in their first appearance on Wednesday. Although there are plenty of fish rising the best bags of fish are being taken on s12 or s14 buzzers 3-6 foot down either under a bung or straight line.
Most evening there is a localized evening rise in goodfellow bay and shallow bay with fish coming very close to the bank.
Even the small fish are really fighting well now.
Prospects look good for the next few weeks for some great imitative fishing.Next Stocking
