The east arm is still the place to be for bank and boat anglers with fish moving throughout the day. Dry fly sport is the best for years.
Bank fishing is good for the time of year especially on cloudier days.
Weedcutting has now started although growth is not as bad as in previous years probably due to the hard winter.
Plenty of the fish being caught are hard fighting specimens between 2-3lb.

Elinor is fishing better than normal for July. Bank anglers are still doing well, especially in the east arm where there are fish rising most of the day. Mornings seeing most fish caught.
Boats having good sport apart from in windy conditions.
Most fish are being taken on the surface with dry fly producing well.
A good proportion of the fish are 2lb + and in superb condition.
