An unusually slow week with a 2 fish rod average. Variable weather saw the fish moving up and down the depths. Plenty of fish rising in the morning, quiet from 3pm onwards until the evening rise starts after 9.30pm.
Bank anglers had enough fish to cast at but they proved difficult to tempt on the warmer days when feeding on adult damsels.
Boat anglers took some fish on dries and washing line but the best bags came to nymphs fished deeper and slow.
Water temperature is still slightly lower than normal so the fishing should be back on form this week.
