Elinor’s trout are in a surface feeding frenzy! On many days last week days dries are taking the most fish.
The cool summer has kept the fish feeding throughout the day especially when there is a light wind and cloud cover.
The rain has meant there are plenty of daddies about very early this year, some are the full size crane flies and some are smaller with amber bodies.
In warmer conditions there are still plenty of damsels hatching.
Washing line method with a cruncher booby on the point and diawl bachs and hares nymph on the dropper is also working well. Otherwise an orange blob pulled through the surface should get a response.
Fish are still well spread over the whole lake.
