TF_Chris OwenParticipantWell done Germany, for showing England for what they are.
An overpaid, cluless bunch with no idea and no passion.
The players will now go on holliday then go back to their clubs to earn 60 to 70k a week.
Not fit to wear the shirt IMHO
-
27/06/2010 at 3:46 pm #108822
TF_Chris OwenParticipantOh yes the manager is just as cluless, we needed goals so what does he do ???
Brings the donkey Heskey on.!!!!!!!!

TF_CutnutTo Herbie and all their supporters…..told you so….I’m with Chris on this one and you can flame me as much as you like they don’t deserve to wear the shirt. Shameful performance, allowing Germany almost free access to two of their goals.

No Rob,they hate us because of all the money in the prem league+champions league monopoly(allocation of places).Either way we were completely outclassed by a team which will not win the tournament,Crapello has just said we played well, really~think ~think ~think ~think ~think, and dont anyone ever again say Rooney is world class, newsflash….he’s not!,good yes but not world class.Get “Arry” in now,no messin about, pay the Italian off,Arry has time to get it sorted before the euro qualifiers then.

TF_Chris OwenParticipantYes thanks Peter getting better, have had a couple of outings fishing the Glebe, with my son as a porter.
Hanson, Shearer and Dixons post match comments~clap ~clap ~clap
Quote just now fron Capello, “We played well”
Then when asked what went wrong ” the players were dissapionted when the third goal went in”
I think the nation is a bit dissapionted with a crap manager and a crap team.
To think that people really thought England could win the world cup.
In the words of Jim Royal ” My A**e”

TF_NW Cut AnglerWe looked incapable of defending IMO and obviously questions will be asked re players and manager. A huge wake up call as to just how good or not our players really are.

TF_piperpilotLaughable bunch of MUGS who shame the whole country. I await to cheer the resignation of Crapello the news that all those so called players will ever wear the shirts of England again and the fall of the FA,

TF_caster robParticipantCan’t believe people fall for the hype every time an international tournament comes around.
The media always go into overdrive about our “world class stars” and every time they’re shown up as being deficient in technique.
As ever, nothing will be learned from this latest failure. In another month or so Andy Gray will be ranting about the “quality” of the premier league, the soccer Sundays will be underway, the money will roll in and our English stars will be carried through the games by more talented foreign players looking for easy money.
As the premier league tightens its grip on English football the national side gets worse.
How many of the German side play in it?

TF_redarmydont blame englands exit on 1 player if rooney had scored a couple and we won, all the hypocrites would be raving about his ability,if you dont want rooney fine we will keep him at utd,he terrorised defences last season and they wernt all english defenders but from all over the world.you cant score if you dont get any service or chances to put away and from the games ive bothered to watch the forwards were starved of any decent service.today the defence was a joke schoolboy errors all across the back four glen johnson is fine going forward but clueless at defending.my guess is that capello even though hes just signed a new contract will resign i just hope that whoever replaces him goes with a more youthful squad that hasnt had any raw ability squeezed out of them by the coaches.if were going to rebuild looking towards the next world cup then the likes of james, johnson, terry, lampard, hesky, barry, carrick, king, ferdinand and possibly even gerrard need to step down.

TF_bremesParticipantJohn,they were all bad not just rooney, but does service involve trapping a ball?,countless misplaced passes,he is not & never will be world class, thats not rooneys fault either its the media who have built him up,that was my point.

TF_slipperyWhen i used to play football, the idea was to score goals?. We scored 3 goals in 4 games, not rocket science is it.Germany have probally scored about 10 up to now.Total waste of space the lot of them.

TF_BlobbyParticipantThe advent of Sky and the Premier League has been instrumental in the decline of the national squad. And us, the fans don’t help. We all want instant success. The clubs buy players and pay them extortionate salaries far beyond what they’re worth in an attempt to bring instant success to gratify the fans. The clubs buy in cheaper foreign imports and do not nurture local talent.
For England to have a winning National squad the whole English game wants a BIG shake up. Salary and transfer fee caps should be introduced. If due to the free market economy the number of foreign players cannot be limited then there should be a rule stating each team has a minimum number of local English players preferably brought up from youth acadamies. Our game needs to be re thought from grass roots level.
You should be proud to play for your country, you should burst with pride and want to run ’til you can run no more, to tackle like your life depended on it and want to win more than anything.
Todays players had no soul, no heart. A bunch of overpaid prancing prima donnas whos only motive is their next pay cheque or multi million pound endorsment. Our Friday night six a side sows more commitment.
Sack em all and start again with players who would sell their Granny to put an England shirt on.

TF_DecaffA while back i posted a link on here for “walk for change” it was an online petition requesting your signatures to back what Cambridge Utd’s Jez George was doing in bringing change to the youth development funding in this country for clubs that had lost their leauge status & subsequent funding.Obviously the long term knock on effect is that quality kids are lost to the professional game. The aim was to raise 10,000 signatures when presenting the petition to the FA,last count i think it was approaching 3,000!
A poor response to say the least.
I had two posters whom questioned this post,in fact they were dead against it,well i hope they’re happy now, because,as some of you so rightly point out,the English game is over hyped & is in fact a poor reflection of what used to be! I don’t see it changing either. -

TF_redarmyjeff i wont try and defend the crap i watched today but like i said earlier if england dont want rooney i wont be bothered let him concentrateon utd,as for not being world class i watch him week in week out and some of the things he does with the ball are amazing, why that doesnt get replicated for england ive no idea ,look at gerrard he looked a shadow of the player i see playing for liverpool maybe its the coaches stifling any natural aility i dont know.when our players perform at a decent level every week in the prem and then look crap against usa, algeria and slovenia then something is wrong within the setup.as per my earlier comment i wouldnt be bothered by the next european champs i would build a new squad capable of winning the next world cup.why players like ashley young and gabby abolgahor with pure pace were never given a squad place i dont know lennon and wright phillips should never put an england shirt on again.

TF_Mikey .J.You lot are so blind sighted its untrue. Rooney doesnt score for a little spell and all of a sudden hes crap? Jesus christ is everyone forgetting that he was the best player in the premiership this season by a country mile. Ive said it before and ill say it again. All the managers across the world will tell you he IS world class but you guys no better because you talk about football on a forum and watch the odd game. Rooney has proven his class season after season and would get into any team in the world. FACT.

TF_SwimfeederSeasoned defenders not knowing how to defend, seasoned midfield players not knowing how to play in midfield, seasoned forwards not knowing how to attack, a distinct lack of effort throughout the team bordering on lazy, players playing out of position, no team spirit, no shape and no idea……the England team did not have a lot going for them did they?
The FA are paying an Italian £6 million a year for that?
I posted on here days ago that England have lost their identity and Cappello was out of his league………..the proof ,if ever it were needed was there for all to see today, Rooney and co just did not want to play for him, Stevie Wonder could see that!
Cappello and his man management style has destroyed the England players confidence, furthermore, all he has done is confuse the hell out of them in the process……. has he progressed the England team? well, he has probably finished a few players international careers.
I asked this question on here the other day, and no one was able to answer it;
How, as a proud Englishman, would you feel if you were surrounded by an Italian coach with an Italian coaching staff playing in a foreign Country, under their scrutiny and critical eye?
Sure the players are to blame, sure the manager/coach is to blame…..but ultimately the FA are to blame for being bloody clueless, short sighted and ignorant.
