It’s been getting harder this last week.

The town has really switched off. The usual decent pegs (1-7) just didn’t fish on the weekend. 5lb was a mega weight!

Lower down below the bridge hasn’t been much better but there were odd barbel caught on saturday (peg 28 & 30)but there were non caught on sunday. I drew 31 and pelleted it virtually all day without a sniff! The isborne is still worth a few chub although they seem to be sitting on 35 and not 36 now.

The form pegs are on the ferry. 52 & 54 are chub fliers at the moment. There are a few roach being caught through the 40’s and 50’s. The sixties are producing big fish. Tench and bream.

I’m still learning the venue but from what locals are saying it will get better and the roach should spread out a bit.

            Main methods are

Wag & Mag, hemp and tares on pole, pellet for barbel and worm and caster for tench and eels.

            Hope this helps

start on the punch on pole (if waters clear after this rain) keep trickling few grains of hemp over the top then keep trying the hemp when you start catching a few feed odd few tares and try em now and again
