Just make sure that you keep fit by doing a good cardiac workout, walk for 55 minutes a day 15 minute warm up 30 minute brisk walk and 10 minute cool down ( 5 – 7 times per week) also healthy diet and you will be able to fish long pole until you drop, despite what life throws at you the odds on surviving cancer/ heart problems etc are much improved if your fit and get early treatment I am 64 have had plenty of health problems but intend to be fishing the long pole for quite a few years to come 😉 😀 😀 😀 😀

those that are lard arses- lose weight- check your body mass index and educate yourself re fitness 😉

Bloomin ‘eck Fred, could have done 50lb down the lake in that time, reckon pushing the barrow + gear for 30 pegs is the same as all that lot…..

Everything in moderation I says……..off for me afternoon nap…zzzz

Double blank I too also thought that pushing me 4 wheeled barrow would keep me fit plus throwing a pole around is a sort of work out as I like most feel knackered after a hard days match fishing but it isn’t intensive enough it ain’t cardia vascular, if you want to stay trim and fit then like all things work is required, now wheres the sofa me paper and a cuppa tea I ‘m exhausted 🙂
