got a match there this sunday from what i can gather this lake has an island and a straight and we are pegged around the island any tips welcome Hydrocarp advice from you would be very welcome cheers Jym

Jym the bowl you are pegged in has no island just open water,the straight you can fish to a far bank

That island is where the 4 pegs are ,there should be a bridge on the picture

We had a match on there a few weeks ago and the bowl end produced the vast majority of the fish . I drew on the straight and really struggled (but then again i struggle at most places !!) So at least you’ve got the good end .

the only time i fished lake 3 was a few weeks b4 the fisho Q

i fished on the peg at the ens of the island and had carp after carp and crucians, most of these fish were a pound and under. all i did was use a light 0.2 float to 0.14 line straight though to a 16 hook with either 4mm or 6mm pellet or corn fished on 2 lines at 8m, feeding a few pellet through a toss pot, if u stopped feeding then he fish just move away.

if u are pegged in the open water then a small mini method with dead mag or a single expander on the hook is worth ago while feeding your pole lines. there are bigger fish in there and these would be best to go for in the last hr fished long down the margins with paste
