Its good to see Mr Capello is taking becks to South Africa afterall.

His sheer presence will help lift the team IMO.

          why should he go ~naughty
he is only a player same as thousands of other are in the english leagues.
they would love to go on a free trip,
just because his name is david beckham dont get me wrong he was a truely great player at united but now sorry to say he is over the hill.

i think tommy cooper may be taking him for a little more than his skills as a footballer,
however if he can show one of our lads how to take the free kick that could win it for us i’d have him on the plane too.

Over the Hill is a bit steep, admittedly probably not capable of playing every game in a tournament now [that’s prior to the current injury] but if he was fit he would be what is called an impact player ie you bring him on with 20 mins to go to use his experience as much in not giving the ball away as for his undoubted qualities in ball-delivery whether it be from set-pieces or running play.
I still don’t think there’s a better deiliverer of a ball than Beckham in world football and that’s from someone who didn’t rate him in his younger days!
