        Had a day on Brighton Marina yesterday and managed to catch my first Ray from the shore, only a small Thornback but its taken me 50 years to achieve , next is a Bass on the fly.
        I also had a Striped Red Mullet which is the furthest I have seen them along the Channel.

          Well done Zonks.
          Try and get one from the ‘beach’ next time!!
          Should not be a problem this time of year at Brighton/Hove beaches.
          The TB’s will be small though.

            I always carry a fish ID book with me when I am fishing so I know what to claim in the family Comp ,the last ones I caught were about 6 years ago on a forum meet at Chesil trying for triggerfish they were only small as well so I assumed the the red mullet I have seen in the supermarket werefarmedas they were are all about the same size .
