I’ve just bought a few 0.6g and 0.8g Garbolino dc 10 floats for a match i have this sunday as it averages 9ft and the places i fish don’t go above 6ft usually. I was just wondering what shotting would be best if targetting roach and bream on the deck. I was thinking for the 0.6g floats a 0.4g olivette with 4 no.10’s spread 2 inches apart. Then for the 0.8g floats a 0.6g olivette with 4 no.10’s spread 2 inches apart again. Or should i just use a bulk of no.8’s and not bother with olivettes?

        Thoughts?

        Thanks, Matt

bulk of 8s personaly for roach on that weight float as you can spread then if you need to have a nice slow fall

both! keep trying each rig to see how they want it. If its flat calm go as light as you can mate.

Try a double bulk. Have your olivette 12 to 18″ from the hook then a small bulk one inch off bottom, fish 3″ overdepth.

they are awesome floats for what your doing, personally I would go with the olivette and have it 2 feet from the deck and 2 droppers 8 inch apart, smallest droppers number 10 but would rather have number 9 droppers as it registers on the float better I really think it’s important you can see those droppers register so anything out the ordinary is a bite on the drop thru the last foot or so of water.Just work it out on the day
