Weekly Report ending 21st March 2010
The fishing has improved with the warmer weather with 100lb+ to match and pleasure anglers. The fish are coming up in the water, but the margins are a bit slow. Red maggot, corn, bread and pellet have been the best baits this week with size 16 hook and 12-14 elastic.
Top Pool
Lots of bream and roach on all pegs t 6m. F1 carp and big commons round the island. Pellet and maggot have been the best bait this week.Bottom Pool
Five 15lb+ carp caught ate evening on Friday and Saturday, 3 to corn and 2 to bread fishing against the island. Lots of f1 carp, bream, perch, roach and rudd to red maggot fished on the bottom with red slop groundbait.House Pool
F1 carp up in the water to red maggot. Lots of bream, rudd, roach and perch on all pegs.House 2/Extension Pool
Again the carp are up in the water to maggot or pellet banded. Lots of chub on the all pegs, along with roach, bream, perch and tench. 126lb won the midweek match from peg 21.New Pool
Pellet fished on the bottom with slop groundbait has been the best bait for common carp, f1 carp, bream and tench. Maggot for other silverfish.Canal Pool
Red maggot fished at 6-10m for roach, bream, f1 & f2 carp, tench, rudd, goldfish, perch and the odd barble. The fish are up/down in the water.Club Pool
