TF_DecaffLooking to get rid of my Rive & had a look at the MSB1 & the Euro this weekend.
On both models (& the MSB1 used by the shopowner),i had to take my weight off the seat in order for me to open the top side drawer-is this normal procedure?
I also found the depth of the seat quite narrow & felt that the seat was probably going to be too small for me,as i felt i was hanging over the back of it.Do any owners have these probs?
Admittedly i’m not small but i’m no giant either!
Apart from these issues looks a pretty good box, don’t know wether to go for one or go back to a Tourny Pro box, which i was well happy with before the Rive.

TF_bignParticipantHello
Top drawer: Thats the only thing i don’t really like about the MSB1 so far.
I hadn’t noticed about the seat and i’m not the worlds smallest angler lol -

TF_Simon PLess is more with regards to the top drawer on the MSB.
The reason it’s a little tight, is down to the rubber seal that stops water ingress.
With use it does get better, after my first couple of outings i rubbed a small amount of preston bristle grease over it (being to hand in the box)…. cured it instantly!!!I.M.H.O Being on the tight side is still better than a large gap around the drawer allowing water flood in!!

AnonymousThe best box on the market for under £600 in my honest opinion. Had mine about 4 weeks and very happy! The top draw is a winders tray so that should not be an issue with having to much in it! The draws seem a little tight but not so tight that you cannot open them with ease. However, be careful that the draws are fitting correctly in the groves. The lip to the draws can slide under the plate between the sections. I dont have a problem sitting on it either but i,ve been sitting on a Brilo for the past 7 years. So, that might have something to do with the size for me. Its like sitting in 1st class to me! It might be that you dont have the box and platform set at the correct highs for your size and shape. Make sure your legs are at right angles and your sitting up straight.

TF_Man of KentThe seat is fine on mine and people tell me I have a fat ar5e. I also have the same observation with the top drawer and had heard that it will wear in with time, so no complaints at all here.

TF_RutilusI’ve had the same problem with the top drawer, won’t open when sat on.
Apart from that minor glitch I really love it. Best box out there I think.
The seat is extremely comfy, no problems with that. -

TF_Man of KentThe sliding rather than the folding footplate made the decision for me. However, the accessories for 25mm round legs are far more difficult to find than for the square legs, and this should also be taken into account depending on what bits you already have.
The ideal one would have been sliding footplate on the square legs.

TF_Spuds1I changed from a Rive D36 to an MSB1 , the whole box is far far easier to move around , a lot lot more storage space and a darn site cheaper .
Pleas edont think it’s made of any plastic otehr than the drawrs , it taled ny lardy 18 stone no problems .
