TF_mick1830Garbolino is there a problem or is it me.I brought a Gmax 700 18 months ago no problems with the pole every is fine.Recently I have broken 2 number 4 sections totally my own fault.I live near Mansfield and have large Garbolino dealer 15 minutes away, quick phone call answered by Gemma,Can you give me price for a new number 4 long or short.Reply I will have to get back on that.No return call.Next day I spoke to some one else and was told Roger unavailable at the moment I will get back to you when he has had I word with Darren at garbolino. No return call.Option 2 buy a Gmax 500 which I am quite happy to do all sections are inter changeable so I get a spare pole and a number 4 after a quick look on the net for the best price FTW £295ish I contacted my local tackle dealer and was surprised to hear Roger,s not available at the moment I,ll have to get back to you on that when I have spoken to him.In between time I emailed 3 more local shops only 1 replied that was Tim at matchman supplies, thank you Tim.I also spoke to another local shop who told me it was a nightmare getting spares from garbolino since they have been taken over. Anyway another call to my local Garbolino dealer this time for the second time I spoke to Daz who apologise for delay in answering my enquiry then only to be told they cannot match the price of FTW and it has become a problem getting spares from garbolino(does Darren know that) since they have been taken over and why not buy the 500 from FTW.Daz did say they would look after me with a good price next time i need anything else(I do not think so some how). This took around ten days and 5 or 6 phones to get nowhere.
CONCLUSIONS
DRAGON (WHO)must do better
GARBOLINO(PANTS or words to that effect)
DARREN if you break all your number 4,s before the fisho final you can borrow my spare maver your Garbo top kits will fit. -

TF_sillysodI had this problem before they were taken over,it turned out the shop hadn’t paid the previous invoice so garbolino wouldn’t send it.

AnonymousWe (How End Fisheries) are a Garbolino Star dealer and have had no problems with spares whatsoever especially in the last few months. Last year there were odd issues due to moving the whole stock half way up France but now its all settled down again. Sure they havent got all the spares .. tell me a manufacturer that has .. but cant see what the problem is with this .. In fact Ive got a G Max 700 number 4 in stock at this very moment which I had delivered from Garbo 2 weeks back (I keep some spares in)
If you havent found one, let me know!!! -

TF_Johnny Macmick1830 – I would say your problem is with the dealers you have contacted, not Garbolino?

TF_mick1830Hello Johnny,I happen to agree with you dragon carp have been less than helpful on this occasion. I have used Used Tackle over the years quite afew times its 15 minutes away there prices are have always very good so much so they were disliked by some of there competitors in the area, may be its because they are getting bigger as a supplier. On this occasion it took 10 days to get nowhere I did even get a price for the number 4,s if they are having a problem with garbolino they should have explained this sooner. They did say on at least 3 occasions that they were waiting for Roger to get in touch with Darren or vice versa wether this was to impress me in some way I do not know but I am definitely not impressed with the service I received.Mick
