Hi Coops, last year I received a letter confirming qualification in advance of day and also outlining the format for the match (although it was changed on morning).
Not sure what is planned for this years final but initially last years was to be run as two 3 hour matches, giving each angler the oppurtunity to fish both banks, in the end it was run as a straight 5 hour match with everyone on the roadside bank. I believe last years format was altered on the advice of Nigel the fishery owner as the river bank hadn’t been producing and it was felt that this would be the best way to give all the anglers a chance of a days fishing. Whatever the format I assure you it will be a cracking day at a superb venue, and you will no doubt be looked after by Garbolino, Match fishing and also by Nigel.
Hope this helps bud and good luck.

          TF_Nigel.

I dont know myself yet. I will try and find out for you and let you know.

2 x 3 hour matches ( on the same peg) will be best IMO. 3 hours on the feeder, and 3 on the pole.
We use the format for the Midland angler of the year, and it works well.

I hope its just one match any method TBH

Im not keen on 2 3 hours jobbies and being restricted in any way unless its made float only, that would be good.

I would be happy to fish 6 hours or 5 but only 1 match.

Not that I have any say in it LOL
