Where’s the cheapest place to get a number 5 section for the G10 or does anyone have one for sale?

        Thanks Mikey

Mikey, you had probably damaged it previously maybe some little knock that you thought nothing of. Then the strike just happened to find the week spot.

I’ve known it happen on all makes of poles in all price brackets

Guess i’ll never know why it happened. Anyone else had problems with the G10? It has severely knocked my confidence with the pole.

Mikey i have done so many on my airity its unreal and all but one my fault its suprising how small a dink is needed to make a section go bang. have a real close look for an indentation around the break or even a tiny split along the length, if its under a year old send it back they might be able to look it over and see if its a manufacturing fault I know Daiwa offer that service

Pete Bailey over on MFS has some sections for sale not sure if there was a number 5 though
and was it you who replied about airity tops ? if so I replied back

My first trip out with my G10, I managed to tip my roller over, thought id got away with it and then found I hadnt, as during the next two trips I had breaks in my 5, 6 and 7 sections for what appeared to be no reason, however when i checked the sections very carefully where they had broke, you could just make out by the way the crack had formed where I had got stone damage, so yes, breaks can seemingly occur for no reason, but there is actually always a reason (since that bad start its been superb and not let me down.

Oh yes I had another number 5 go, that was when I hooke a fish on the method feeder, pulled out when netting, the feeder shot back and dinked my 5, again i initially thought id got away, but no chance, there was an impact depression in it.

Apart from that, an excellent pole.

Maybe this is a new thread. What is the oddest/most unfortunate way anyone has broken a section?
