Getting washed on match day ?

  Who gets washed and brushes their tooth on match day, what I mean is if you wash brush your teeth and put smelly on and hair laquer can fish smell it does it put them off ?

  I don’t wash for a week before a match and I fish 3 matches a week, it usually guarantees you at least an empty peg either side

  Perhaps there is an opening for a new brand of non scented angling hygiene products, or even better maggot flavoured toothpaste and chopped worm infused soap?

  The night before a match I go to bed wearing latex gloves with fishmeal sprinkled in them. Just to make sure I smell like a pellet..…

  look at you replies mate your reading too much into it dont worry about it just get out there and fish …feeding and presentation is the key. as long as your not smelling like a puffs parlour or caked in diesel/petrol dont think it’ll matter

  I always have a dump before i travel to a match , hope this helps.
  
  Also washing your knob before going on a date has its advantages.

  Nah, i smell like that and i still catch sweet FA 😀 mind the peg next to me always wins the match so i must be a lucky omen 😉 😉 😉 :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: :rolleyes: . this includes several fisho qualifiers over the last few years 😮 😮

  I think you have to keep yourself nice.
  
  An angler with a tidy haircut will always do better than a hippy scumbag.
  
  Nice clothes and aftershave are also a help.
  
  Keep your kit clean and tidy. What sort of fish want to be caught by a bloke who’s going to ask it “Big Issue”?
  
  If you’re worried about fish not liking your choice of cologne, do the old Ian Heaps trick. Swill your hands in the cut, then get a handful of grass and rub between the hands vigorously.
  
  And don’t smoke either. Anybody that smokes never, EVER, catches anything.
