7 has been fishing the best very consistant can be won on quite a few pegs,6 a bit more peggy end pegs v good but 87 88 89 can be good dont neglect margins.start on feeder tight across if you are catching well stay on it.pole shallow caught 187lb on pool7 2 weeks ago but carp are spawning at the moment.this weather should wake them up they havnt really been getting there heads down especially on the 5mt line,dont overfeed unless there going for it.im on pool1 on sat and pools 6and 7 in a few weeks.good luck unless your on the same match 😀 😀

im on the glebe in 3 weeks on a corporate match , ive been reading the rules and barbel do not count , does anyone know why ?? anyone give me some idea of what baits to fish/take please .

Don’t worry about barbel I have been about 20 times now with upto 100 fishing and still only ever seen 1……..it was a beast though about 9lb

i fished a corporate match 7 years ago and had 78lb of barbel , thats why i was asking , got the MOM award off roy marlow, was wondering why theyre excluded , id there some eco reason, ??

they were only in lake 1 and did show up in numbers on certain pegs,i think roy lost a lot in a thunder storm when the air pressure either dropped or rose apparently this sends them belly up.after that they now dont count in matches and are not allowed in keepnets.
