I posted something last year about a similar thing at a lake in Bristol which is shared by a swimming club with 1500 members and an angling club with 200.

Swimming club wanted fish removed because they said the lake was overstocked which affected the clarity of water. Angling club disagreed.

Originally fish were to be culled because they could not be moved, then another venue with as similar problem offered to take the fish.

It was reported in January that things have been put on hold pending further meetings.

Its interesting to note that AT have been involved and also that some of the anglers took direct action on proposed day of cull by chaining themselves to the gates of the lake.
