Take a nosey at the TheseusMatch brolly from Fishing republic…..

          A bit like the Tourney shield,but stronger,and cheaper…

As I go with the Purple plonker twice a week and sit behind him every time, I use brollies more than most ( I use them as a wind break and sunshade as well as in the rain !!!). The one I use is a Waterline fibrelite. Make sure you get the one with popper fstenings around the stays and then if it does blow inside out, you simply popper it back together again. Being fibre glass it’s light to carry as well.

I’ve had every brolly going, they’re all schite,so I now only buy the cheapest one in the tackle shop(£15.99).You know what,it’s lasted just as long as any of the others.

The Waterline is made from fibre glass and the cover is held in place with poppers.
                      They say it’s unbreakable!!!

Tom – someone showed me a good trick that might also help..?

The pole that goes into the brolly, put a length of 16mm dowel down it inside,it stops it from bending into L shapes when its blowing a hooley. Works a treat.

My experience of the waterline is it’s one of the worst I went through three in as many months.Fart inside one of them and it blows inside out and smashes those weak plasticky supports.
