I’m looking for a nice pair of 2.75lb carp rods. I want one with a nice soft fish playing action and not one that is as stiff as a poker.

Can someone recommend a decent rod? Looking to spend up to £200 for the pair.

I’m a bit of a tackle tart so ideally the rod needs to be nice and thin!

Nash “H” series or the new Nash Venom Mk2’s. Both are super slim & rival rods of twice the price.

I would look at the ESP Paragon rods at £70rrp,and the ESP Sniper rods,at £129.99rrp

The Paragons are not what I would call slim Gary. The Snipers are good rods indeed, but not in the same class as the Nash ones IMHO.

Not unlike me to disagree, Lee, but the Greys Prodigy series are not a patch on the new Venom Mk2 or even the Free Spirit Carp Tamer X-Wraps for the same price point.
But the best bargain out there for the £200 you have to spend Weimeraner, is the Sonik SK3 rods (http://www.soniksports.com/product/10/sonik-sk3-carp-rod/) which are on a buy 2 get 3rd rod free deal at £198.97 for 3 rods that are absolutely spot on (I have a set here myself that I use alongside my top end kit & I end up using the Sonik’s more than anything else!). Full Japanese shrinkwrap handles, SiC rings through out & an action that will chuck a lead a good distance, yet have a playing action that is a dream.
