Ringstead saw another good week with superb quality fish and excellent catches.
The largest fish of the week went to Gene Robinson of Raunds, his beauty weighed in at 9 1/2 lbs (returned to see another day, also 6 others). (Photo attached)
Nigel Cheatham from Oundle, caught 7 fish, the largest fish weighing 8 1/2 lb.
John Burdett from Wellingborough, was pleased with his 6 lb fish also catching another 5.
Nick Wright from Northampton, a 6 pounder.
Russ Melrose from Northampton, also a fine specimen weighing 6 lb.
Jack Freeman from Northampton, also caught a 5 pounder.
Lots of other good limits of lovely 2 1/2 – 3lb caught.
Dave Strudwick from Burton Latimer, caught 21, largest 5 3/4.
Best Areas:
Willow Bay, Addington Road and Front of Lodge.
Best Flies:
Montana, Black Buzzer (white cheek), Bloodworm, Green and White Dancer and Blue Flash Damsel.
The weather has been changeable this last week but we have had a good rod average of 4 per rod.
Both boat and bank are fishing really well.
Good stocking will take place this coming week with two extra tagged fish being introduced to the water.
