( He said the strategy calls for sea fisheries committees to be given the objective of developing sea angling, a duty they do not have today, and to make decisions based on socio-economic factors not just on concerns for commercial fishing.

The strategy contains some potential threats to angling, notably licensing and limits on the number of fish anglers could take home. However, these, can only happen under the Marine Bill due to be published next year.)
The license and restrictions will come as soon as the bill is passed, they will say they need the money to develop sea angling areas.
Sorry geepy but if you believe anything those in power say, you’re more gullible than the rest of us.
Remember we were promised a referendum on the european constitution,we’ve good reason to be cynical.

after many yrs of payin a freshwater license my conclusion is:

                :its a stealth tax.
:u’ll see nothing in return for your money.
:if u ask a so called bailiff a question he know’s nothing technical about his job/the enviroment/or his supposed objectives, and doesnt want too know your/club/organisations concerns whatever they maybe.
:they only turn out within 2 weeks of a new liecense period.
:u’ll never see a bailiff out in the dark or out of reach of there vehicle.
:they turn a blind eye too issues of illegal fishing or fishing methods or loopholes within the law.

no one would be able too police a new liecense or set out anything contained within it via commerceial issues, protection of fishing area’s or loss of them which is happening thro coastal errosion and scheme’s which make fishing impossible.

in short, they just want your money.
