what s happening at grange farm fisheries (fishlake), we fished it yesterday and all the carp were on the surface struggling.i threw 4 dead carp up the bank myself ,there were loads more around the pond.when asked the owner just said the enviro been down and said its just stress.4 anglers packed up after 1 hour every body struggled winning weight was 44Lb.both matches before ours were won with 19Lb and 27Lb. i wonder what the real reason is ???~think

          Sounds like lack of oxygen

            I agree with pelletpump.

We fished it 2 years ago and the same thing happened to us.

At that time there were also thousands of roach on the surface gasping for air!

when we suggested shutting for a week and leaveing the aireators on ,he just said (why the fish will still die any way)seems to me he s more interested in money than his fish.(after our match the aireators were switched off)

IMO it has FAR TOO many fish in it for the size of water!

It also has far too many pegs!

A water that size should have no more than 20 – 25 pegs max.

Totally agree about the pegging, pegs about 3-4 metres apart is a joke and I wont book any club matches again on here, think fish loss was always bound to happen, the owner thinks more about his mushrooms than welfare for his fish.
