Does anybody know the exact quantities of water to groundbait?

Depends entirely on what consistency you’re trying to achieve. I generally knock it up the night before over the course of an hour or so and then fridge it. In the morning it’s easy to adjust by adding more water since it usually dries a little overnight. Anything left over is then frozen.

Making it up on the bank isn’t right for me because the consistency changes too much.

It seems like equal quatities is about right, and the longer you leave it to absorb, the slower it breaks down.

Best way to do it –

Fill a 2 pt bait tub about 1/3 rd full of water.

Pour in a small amount of groundbait and mix.

Repeat using small amounts of g/bait each time until you have the required consistency.

Always do it on the bank with lake water

i agree with snooty always use lake water and always ad groundbait to water never the other way round, i always mix to a thick soup then leave for a while then add more water/groundbait as required

i always add crushed hemp to mine

Baitchef i would keep changing on the day but i would also add to the water
sometimes i could mould it on a pellet and ship out somedays its that soft it would run through your fingers but most times its moulded around a pellet and potted out pretty soft but could not be swung out

For me per pint of swim stim i use 2/3 of a pint of lake water, give it 15-20 minutes and it will become more firm and it’s then a case of adding a small amount of water to get it perfect.
