        Hi All

        Going down to white acres on saturday, hoping to fish open matches at gwinear, was wondering if anyone knew how it was fishing at the moment?

        If anyone else is going i’ll see you in the bar saturday night

              Since its great days of big mirror carp the fishery has gone thro a transformation as it has new owners ; Chris Heacock and Andy Dare who now supervise the matches.                 I have just got bck from white acres last night , and fished the opens at Gwinear. There are now lots of small carp 1lb – 5lb , with skimmers of all sizes. Best methods were pole , kinder potting micros , fishing corn or pellet on the hook. Also a small pellet feeder with corn , maggot or boilie hookbait also works well fishing to the bars. I won the sunday open with 76lb , and come 2nd on the tuesday open with 34lb. All small carp , so nice busy fishing.

                White acres itself fished very hard. 8mm pellet on the bomb n wag was the way to go. Pollowyn on the thursday rover , only produced one carp . and anglers were having to go for silvers to boost there weights. I was on twin oaks that day , and it even fished hard on there , with 69lb winning that lake.

                    count us in for gwinear there is only 3 of us now as 1 lad dropped out today having not payed, leaving our cost going up. cheers wayne pm me with what days your thinking of
