Bag up would they be ok for 4mm pellet on 0.10 in the depth of winter ?

Series 2 are quite large for their size. If only using 0.10 try B911 eyed or drennan eyed barbless carp or eyed carp match.

Yeah they do Stu Im wondering if somebody has designed a size 20 hair rig hook for F1s I have tried using a few patterns including 20s in 911 and the hook sprung forward a litle to much for my liking, maybe i should bend the eyes back like 36s ?

the fox used to be good but last summer got a few packets that the hook just split in hals and an 18 b911 is smaller than a 20 fox series 2, I would try pr 27 if I were you they are a great hook

You will have forgotten the answer by the time you need it next winter – We are just going into spring bagging ~think

i caught 21 carp to 12lb down the edge at larford yesterday all on the same pr36 size 18.
i caught very well on a small method too, i was using a qm1 size 18 on that rig.
i have to say they give cracking hook holds but the only thing i’m not keen on is i find them quite fiddly to get out sometimes.

Guru 18’s are small, why are you wanting to go smaller.

Steeve im using 4mm banded pellet in a hair in winter and jsut wondered if a 20 hook would be more effective fishing for small F1s and they are quit finiky.

Make some hook lengths up with hair rigs with spade end hooks of your choice. Its a fiddly job but you can add a band to the tag end of any spade end hook if you take your time and be very patient. Its not a quick job and you will make mistakes but it can be done if you take your time. I,ve been making hair rigs with spade end hooks for years to get a better choice of hooks to use when hair rigging.
