        Hallcroft Fishery Match Results to June 14th, 2010

        Daiwa Hallcroft Tournament League (Tuesday PM)
        Bridge (20 pegs)
        1 S Barraclough, Maver Barnsley, 201-0-0; peg Isl 13
        Steve Barraclough stormed to victory today by setting a new venue record and the first angler to break the 200lb barrier in a 5 hour match at Hallcroft. Steve Barraclough fished the pole at 11m using meat and then switched to both margins using corn over ground bait, where he netted carp to 10lbs and bream to 4lbs.
        2 R Teigh, Handsworth, 94-2-0; peg isl 16
        Rich Teigh continued his good run of form with a second place net of mainly carp also taken on from the margins using corn and chopped worms.
        3 N Speed, Middy Dynamite, 80-8-0; peg Out 40
        Nick Speed took third place fishing luncheon meat on the pole at different depths to catch carp and skimmers.
        4 D Oldham, MAP Leegem, 69-4-0; 5 I Temple, Retford, 67-8-0; 6 A Favill, Tuxford, 67-0-0

        Daiwa Hallcroft Veterans Summer League (Thursday)
        Moat Outer (39 pegs)
        1 P Bagshaw, Maver Barnsley, 74-14-0; peg 107
        Pete Bagshaw edged a close match in today’s veterans and claimed another victory. Pete caught mainly carp on the pole at 6m and also from the margins using chopped worm and corn as baits.
        2 G Lilley, MAP Leegem, 73-0-0; peg 82
        Graham Lilley caught a mixed net of carp and skimmers fishing luncheon meat and pellet on the pole at 12m to finish second place.
        3 D Speight, Sheffield, 65-14-0; peg 105
        Dave Speight fished the pole at 8m using expander pellet over feed pellet and landed carp to 6lbs.
        4 M Cooke, Hallcroft, 60-8-0; 5 R Holmes, Notts AC, 60-0-0

        Moat (38 pegs)
        1 P Bagshaw, Maver Barnsley, 112-1-0; peg island 29
        Pete Bagshaw’s good run continued as he managed a second win in two days with a decent ton plus net of carp in this well attended afternoon match. Pete concentrated mainly on the margins using corn and worms as baits to catch carp through the 5 hours and another ton plus weight.
        2 R Teigh, Handsworth, 103-4-0; peg island 37
        Rich Teigh took second place also with a ton plus weight of carp and the odd bream. Rich also used his margins to good effect using corn over ground bait as his main method on the pole.
        3 A Favill, Tuxford, 88-14-0; peg island 17
        Andy Favill finished third with some nice sized carp taken on the pole using chopped worm and casters.
        4 N Speed, Middy Dynamite, 80-0-0; 5 G Mumby, Triana North, 72-4-0; 6 L Sears, Daiwa, 71-8-0

        Bridge Outer/Reed (39 pegs)
        1 A Sellars, Bankside Tackle, 75-14-0; peg B Out 49 (S Yorks)
        The change in air pressure seemed to rule out fishing on the bottom as a winning method today, and Andy Sellars was best to adapt as he claimed victory with a decent net of carp all taken on the waggler fished shallow with luncheon meat.
        2 D Oldham, MAP Leegem, 45-11-0; peg Reed 13 (S Yorks)
        The battle for second place went to Daz Oldham whose net was made up of mainly skimmers and small chub taken shallow on the long pole with luncheon meat.
        3 J Whitehead, Maltby, 44-4-0; peg Reed 23 (S Yorks)
        Jason Whitehead was also on Reed and he too caught mainly silverfish on the pole using pellet and meat.
        4 B Sullivan, Goldthorpe, 42-6-0; (S Yorks) 5 G Brooks, Maltby, 36-14-0 (S Yorks); 6 I Ward, Mosborough, 36-12-0 (S Yorks)

        1 P Miles, Lindholme, 115-14-0; peg B Isl 9 (S Yorks)
        Another decent Sunday turnout was won for the second week in a row by Pete Miles, who seems to be mastering his chopped worm and caster fishing currently here at Hallcroft. Pete’s ton plus winning weight was comprised of both carp and skimmers all taken on the pole at 6m and from the margins.
