            worm drowner hello again!
Where you been & how’s the poacher? Still beating you no doubt!!
Fished it on a pleasure day last week, & still caught carp on the inside on paste!
Fished on the far side from the car park at 10 metres in about 3 metres & caught skimmers & roach from the off on pumped expanders. I fed 4mm pellet & hemp. Caught 2 carp on the drop on 0.13 & No.8 latex. I took my time & got them in.
You will catch lots of roach 3 sections feeding little & often with caster/hemp & maggot etc.
The method will work if it’s really tough with maggot hookbait.
In february I fished it on a rank cold & wet day & caught on the pellet waggler at 8 foot deep feeding to the middle, using 6mm pellets for feed & banded.
            Regards Peter.

I would fish the waggler a good distance out myself, the carp can be at all depths so you will need to find them.

I would expect 40lb of roach is possible shallow with maggots on the pole but I doub’t that will win you any matches, but if you are in a carpless corner you may have no choice!

the poacher has given up match fishing at the mo peter – suddenly got into girls ( silly sod ) but im hoping here be back in a couple of years.

i’ve tried to warn him but no doubt like us all he will find out the hard way

girls smell – go fishing instead lol lol lol

the carp have all shoald up by all accounts and are in small pockets on all lakes ,it will fish great on some pegs but its that time of year when a lot of pegs will be hard, what you will need is a end of an island
