TF_Chum MixerParticipantStaggering, there cannot be an easier float to make than a Pea, the mind boggles at the prices people will pay for MW’s
What next will they be on Antiques Road show ?

TF_cockney blankerIf you cannot get hold of the peas have a look at the new browning float of a similar design.

dave smithParticipantNo pete, didnt go to school. Went fishing instead.
Im nearly a millionaire anyway, so a few more ££££ from my floats should just about take me over the magical mark.

TF_D.W.Spoke to Mick this morning and he has a load of Peas and others ready to go on the site. Shame people cannot wait and continue to bid the ebay auctions up. If nobody bid, then they wouldn’t go so high.

TF_D.W.He didn’t say exactly but due to Mick moving house, he has fell behind a bit but is now catching up so there will be regular updates now.

TF_Happy DanglerDarren I know Mick selling on ebay has been suggested before.
But, why doesn’t he really flood ebay with loads and loads of Wilkies for the next few production runs.
I’m sure they will all make the selling price (or more) but the effect of so many being on there from Wilkie himself over a few months will kill the the secondary market for them.
It will also remove a little of the MWFloats log-on lottery that exists now.

TF_SliderThe other big problem along with people who buy to sell are the people who buy loads and dont use them
Im sorry but who needs 50,60,75 of 1 particualr float pattern, nobody does thats for sure.
It riles me right up when I see people boasting about having 100 of this pattern and 75 of this pattern. Unless you are of International quality you simply do not have that many rigs made up on the same floats.
Share the love people, share the love !!

That is being done Ricky. The only problem there is that people will complain that Mick is only doing ti to make more money, which is not the case, but to try to stop the prices going so high & people buying them simply for profit. Mick isn’t interested in the price they go for, be it 10p for ten floats or £100 per ten floats, as anything over the usual selling price is going to be donated to charity anyway.

dave smithParticipantsider, “only international anglers need that quantity of floats”. Dont talk crap. I always have between 80 and 120 Jean francos set up in trays. 0.2. 0.3. 0.4. 0.6. 0.8. 1g. 1.5g. 2g. 2.5g. thats only about 12 of each size. and thats just one pattern for rivers. plus joker rigs and pellet rigs.
