i have been fishing hemmington for a few weeks now and never seem to catch much and i dont want to seem cheeky but would any of you guys who fish there on a regular basis mind me sitting behind you during a match to see how you fish the place,if not then no problem.

I haven’t got a problem with that Steve. I’ve only been fishing it since the beginning of the year and it does take a while to get your head round the place.
The best bit of advice that I can give for starters is fish to your strengths as opposed to try to match what others are doing. I started doing that and didn’t really get anywhere until I started fishing the way I wanted.

I’m fairly sure that Baz will reply to this when he gets on later as he was probably fishing the open today.

Dave’s right,you are more than welcome to sit behind us,but i think you would learn more if you fished it,it’s a hard venue to work out,it took me 6 matches to get to grips with it.

I had alot of f1’s with the odd mirror thrown in,same bait but did catch well late on with corn,feeding corn aswell cos they were at all depths,if i had done that sooner then i could off and should off had alot more.

How did you get on roach bashing?

Roach bashing was fun, caught pretty much all day, although they were all small. Managed to catch on hemp and tares for 4 1/2 hours though. Won my section and was second overall with 2.45kg. Match was won by my team mate, we only had 2 only bank for a team of 3 doh, would of pi$$ed team wise if we had a third man.

thanks guys fished it last saturday and broke my pole so out of action this week end,so i thought rather than chrismas shopping with the wife i would come and learn something breakfast is on me dave_b and j.g.g.cheers.

Which section Steve? I managed to break my No8 on Saturday as well. It broke after 4 hours and only caught one fish after that. I’d had 129 prior to that and still managed to win the match.
Should get my section back from repair tomorrow, £30 being alot cheaper than £333.
