Hi all, Is this fishery still going ? I used to enjoy fishing it in the afternoon/evening for big lumps down the edge on the pole/paste. Any advise on current fish stock sizes after the problems of a few years ago along with any tips. cheers

          Heyford is still going mate.

Fishing can be hard or easy depending on where you sit .

          Last year , the mid 90s – 105 was a good area.

Not fished there seriously this year , but worm & caster to far bank was the best method , I have heard that pellet is catching a few carp now.

            Inky,

I won a match here two weeks ago with 76lb all tight over with pellet, the back straight seems to be the best area.

As for catching down the edges, i never had a bite, they have started to clear alot of the vegetation where it had been left for a few years, starting with the nearside bank so i think its pushed the fish over. It maybe different pleasure fishing though with no nets.
