Hoar Park Fishery Catch report 17/8/10
Fishing has been very good this week with lots of Carp into double figures figuring in big catches.
Biggest fish of the week came to fishery boss Chay Jackson with a Carp of 14lb 3oz, Chay also took 8 other Carp to low double figures by fishing freelined dog biscuits and keeping mobile.
Warren Painting had 11 Carp to 9lb and a bonus 5lb Tench for a total bag of 49lb, Warren fished pole across to the far bank on Buzzard pool, successful baits were corn and maggot.
Another great catch this week went to Stan Masters of Tamworth who fished shallow with maggot on the pole to amass an incredible 26lb bag of Roach, Rudd and small Carp. Topping the better fish were a Roach of 1lb 4oz and and a fantastic Rudd of 1lb 7oz!!
Alan Ward of Ansley took 36lb of Carp to win the evening open match. Alan fished pole to the Lilly pads, worm and meat baits won the day for Alan.
Charlotte Jackson of Hartshill was the first ever female winner of the junior open match with 14lb of Carp to 6lb; Charlotte was over the moon with the win and took home the £35.00 Tackle voucher as first prize.
Junior Open Matches:
The matches are open to all anglers, boys & Girls between 8 and 15 years old. They are held every Wednesday during school holidays. The draw is 0830 with fishing from 0915-1315Hrs. Prizes are £35.00 Tackle voucher, 2nd £25.00 Tackle voucher and 3rd Prize is a £15.00 Tackle voucher. All vouchers are for Allan’s of Kingsbury.
