I have recently brought a hook length box it has pins at each end. My problem is i can’t seem to tie the hooklength the right size to fit between the pins. does anybody know an easy method of doing this? i am pulling my hair out please shed some light on the subject for me.

I have two ways of doing this:
            1) Use a sensas pierotti hook tyer, perfect length every time.
            2) Tie hook on line, loop around the pin two further down the box from the one you will attach it to when tied. This gives me the right length to then use an easy loop tyer to tie the knot and, bingo, its the correct length.

                No pellets here

What i did was, measure the distance bewteen the pins, get a piece of wood slightly longer than the distance between the pins, put a nail in one end, then at the distance the hooklength pins are apart, put the other pin, then all you do, tie hook, hook it round nail, take line, loop it up around the other nail, give yourself enough line for the loop. Make sure when you do this that you hold the looped bit of line tight, then you will have the correct distance every time, good thing about this, is if you have different pin lenghts in your hook box, you can put numerous pins in to cover all of these. Cheap and easy way of doing it.
