hookbait, do you use what you are feeding so not to spook the fish.
        or
put something different on the hook so that it stands out from the feed expecting the fish to take it first.
which way i go always seems to be the wrong way.

any of you nice people got any ideas on it.
        thanks

On the pole line I like to feed a few offerings of what i’m using on the hook. Expanders for example I feed 2 or 3 every 30mins roughly. I am a big believer in using stand out baits and i do believe they work very well compared to using the same hookbait as feed.

It just gives the fish something new to go for, they take it out of curiousity and because they stand out you can get bites quicker i’ve found.

When fishing the method feeder I don’t feed my hookbait, whether it’s pellets, corn or boilies. Purely so the hookbaits stands out.

Everyone has a different opinion though.
