How far to fish on a neap tide?.

Morning all,

Off to Sutton on sea saturday morning,because I am in need of a chill out……Prozac isn’t an option !!

It is only a small tide,(5.4),and never quite worked out with small tides how far out to fish…..

I understand that with it being lower,the features which bring the fish in,(Mussel beds,worm beds,etc),are closer to the shore,so wondered if a long chuck on one rod,and a closer in rod,would be any good ?….

Chances are there will only be flounder about,with the odd pin whiting,so the long rod will be for a chance Codling….IN MY DREAMS !!! LOL

All advice will be gratefully accepted….

I thought it was the size of the tide,and how far up it came…….now I know….
