Whats you views on the fishery owner banning Eastern Europeans, I think if its your business you should be able to do what you want.?

Maybe he’s not racist but he shouldn’t put this kind of sing without strong evidence, which he should provide on police station.

There are better ways of doing it, but I can see why he did! It’s a no brainer that in this day and age it’d cause a fuss.

GOOD, if that is the case we can shoot the ba$*^rds. 🙂

My view is that if you supply the general public with goods or a service etc..you cannot discriminate on their nationality or other aspects of race, gender etc. One can only take action against any INDIVIDUAL member of public if it can be proven that rules have been broken by the individual. It would be inappropriate and totally illegal to also ban any of his/her mates or brothers and sisters or any of his/her compatriots just because of association.
On the other hand if someone run a ” private club” you can “quitely” discriminate against anybody without advetising the fact.

Reserving the right to refuse admission has never been discriminitive, its your business and your judgement I used to run pubs and you had to decline customers who would compromise your business ie travellers I never saw this as discriminitive it was more good business practice to protect your business.

I think you can ‘refuse admission’ to whoever you like, aslong as you don’t give a reason.

There have been a number of prosecutions of ‘B n B’ owners who didn’t like the idea of same sex couples sharing a room.

If they’d just told them to clear off and not given a reason they’d have been ok.

Personally I think that instead of banning a ‘group’, he should have just policed his fishery more and left his customers in no doubt as to what the rules were.

BUT, if it was my fishery/fish/business, i may think differently…

I think fair play to the guy for standing up to these people, most of us know they do it but choose to do nothing, they have been caught a few times on the cov canal with big nets taking loads of fish, it is becoming a major problem in my opinion
