Hi Dave,
Will see you on Friday !
Somerton is a deep reservoir about 2 acres basically carp, carp and more carp.
Kingfisher and Heron are both on the same complex and are mixed fisheries with some carp in each, loads of skimmers, roach, perch, rudd etc.
As far as methods go pretty much everything works it’s just a case of getting it right on the day.
For Somerton you’ll want carp oriented baits such as pellet, corn, cat meat etc. for the others you just need a good cross section of everything as it genuinely does vary from day to day depending whether the carp or skimmers or both are feeding. Good nets of carp are possible some days, others it’ll be silvers.
I think I gave you this link before but this is our web site and on there under ‘venues’ are some brief details about each water :

Don’t really have much more to say other than what’s on there, there’s no killer methods basically everything works on the lakes it’s just reading it better than your neighbour on a given day.
Your best bet is to talk to Bob Shepherd (who is organising things your end ?) he was a club member for a while when living over here and fished and did very well in the matches so he’d be your best source of info.
Looking forward to the matches and meeting you all.
Cheers, Lee
