It is too far for me to travel nowadays – 6 hours? each way – but out of interest what is the July fishing like on the match length of the Witham? I last fished it in 1990 in the run up to and in the 1990 Div 1 National which was tremendous fishing, on the good sections at least!
And does anyone ever fish the match length of the Welland any more?
Those aware that I’m working on a biography of Ivan and the Likely Lads will be pleased to know that it is close to completion ready for handover to the publisher in the next few weeks for editing and design. All being well it should come out in about late October or early November with a launch at a pub near Leicester.
