Jeff Moors Memorial Match Cudmore.

As many of you will know Jeff used to run matches at Cudmore in the early days of the fishery and as a tribute Cudmore Fisheries are running a 200 peg memorial match on Saturday 25th September which has also got the backing of sponsorship by Stapeley Angling Centre who operate the on site tackle shop.

The entry fee (no peg fees deducted) is £30 all in of which £10 will be split between The Douglass Macmillan Home and The Hooked on Fishing scheme both of which were close to Jeffs heart.

The draw will be at 9am with fishing from 10.30 – 3.30 with breakfasts etc available on site.

With a full turn out the winner will take home £1,000 and with reasonable sized sections there will be lots of other prizes to go for as well.

Note folks that this is a second memorial match to Jeff, and takes place the weekend after one at Border Fisheries that Dave Smith is running… no less worthy just thought I’d flag it up so there’s no confusion….

Hi Lee, I have no problems with any event that runs to Honour Jeff. The boys at Cudmore are doing a great Job, and I do a lot of my coaching from there, Stew Beard from Stapeley has been keeping me in the loop as to the event and I have obviously offered to do anything I can to help. Sadly I have a prior commitment on the 25th or I would be there taking part. Let us hope both the Cudmore match and Border match both fully book and continue to run for many years. Jeff would be really pleased and we should do all we can to honour the man and his legacy.
