You must have three lines. One on the inside. Bread punch, squatt and pinkie with sloppy g/bait (something like supercup). Put some chopped worm and caster down the middle as the slope starts to rise. (plumbing up is vital). Fish this with punch to start with before changing to the caster, pinkie or worm on the hook. All the lines will pack up after a little while so change often.
Put some caters as far up the far bank as possible especially if you have a feature like a bush or reeds. Don’t worry that its 6 inches deep. Fish this later as the inside and middle slow down. Fish it with an over depth rig laying on about a foot with single caster. This will pick up skimmers and a better size roach. If you catch a roach and have to wait change to another line for about 15mins. Flick a few casters into the area. Fish very light rigs 4 x 10 – 4 x 12. 0.08 bottoms with 22 B511 hooks. 4 – 6 elastics. You will mostly catch on the pinkie but better (and fewer) bigger fish on the caster or worm. If you’re on the bream/skimmer shoal then you’ll catch anyway. Its off the shoal and scratching that is difficult. Don’t forget to try the re maggot as well.
Good luck, report back with any results!!!
