TF_caster robParticipantI seem to recall this rod being launched after a lot of us built our own versions based on a 9.5′ lerc blank and fitted screw-in tip-eyes for swing tip attachments.
Favoured for bream fishing on the Welland back in the day.
Green blank IIRC.

TF_Fred Davisused this rod in the 70s on the thames, it was “the” rod to use, however an upgade to normarks soon saw it being disused if I remember it had a built in quiver might be wrong as it was so long ago however the ken smith even predates the origenal shakespeare sigma wand thats how old it is

TF_JEFFERS15fred, it does have a built in quiver tip and seems fairly soft. maybe a bit of a collectors item?

TF_Fred DavisCould well be jeffers, the rod also came with a standard top which could be used with a screw in swingtip, however condition is all important, it may well be that we upgraded and quite a few of the lads owned such a rod in the london postal region because I dare say we eventually got a wrap over and broke the quiver tip, can’t remember selling my one on so must have been just dumped, halcyon days lol Definately a colectors item in my opinion

TF_allan1950ParticipantDo you still have these rods for sale? Had a set many years ago and they were taken when our garage got broken into. Would be interested in buying.

TF_Fred DavisI had one of these rods it had two tips one with a built in quivertip and one with an ordinary tip that you could attach a swing tip to great little rod in it’s time.
